The 267 × 273mm opening and 204mm step-in height help make the unit accessible. Compare the dimensions with your cat’s build. PETKIT prohibits use by kittens under six months old or cats weighing less than 1.5kg. The listed weight range is 1.5–10kg.
Odour care at several points in the cycle
The OdorVoid system combines waste covering, enclosed waste storage and compatible deodorising consumables. Empty the bin and clean the removable parts regularly to keep the system working effectively.

Start on a firm, level surface
Place the unit on hard flooring and leave the clearance required in the manual. Soft mats beneath the device can affect sensing; position a litter mat in front instead.
Setup and routine care
- Assemble the supplied parts and add compatible litter below the fill line.
- Connect the specified power supply and pair with a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Monitor early visits and introduce automatic cleaning gradually.
- Check the 7L waste bin regularly. The manufacturer’s up-to-15-day figure is for one cat and varies with use.
- Disconnect power before cleaning. Keep the powered base and electronic parts dry.
- Clean removable parts, inspect the pad and seals, and replace deodorising consumables as directed.

Frequently asked questions
Does this model have a camera?
PUROBOT MAX 3 uses weight-based cat recognition. It does not include the camera system found on PUROBOT MAX PRO 2.
What happens if a cat enters while it is cleaning?
The safety sensors are designed to stop the cylinder if a cat enters. Behaviour depends on the active settings: the manual says Continuous Rotation can continue when a cat approaches. Follow the manual and supervise use.
How often do I empty the waste bin?
The 7L bin can provide up to 15 days for one cat under the manufacturer’s conditions. More cats or heavier use shortens this interval; check the bin and app reminders.
Which Wi-Fi network does it need?
Connect PUROBOT MAX 3 to a 2.4GHz network through the PETKIT app.
Can it track more than one cat?
Weight-based recognition supports individual records for registered cats. Check records after setup, particularly for cats with similar weights.
Which litter is suitable?
Use compatible clumping litter and the matching P99022 or P99023 sifter. Do not exceed the particle-size or fill-level guidance.
Can kittens or very small cats use it?
No. PETKIT prohibits use by kittens under six months old or cats weighing less than 1.5kg. Follow the supplied manual and keep ineligible cats from using the device.
Are deodorising refills permanent?
The New Zealand Basic version does not include a Breezy Smart Odor Eliminator or N60. N60 requires a compatible Breezy unit, purchased separately. N50 and N60 are consumables; follow the replacement guidance.
