Warranty Policy

One-Year Limited Warranty

Petkit New Zealand offers a 1-year warranty on all products purchased through our official website, petkit.co.nz. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, starting from the date you receive your product. If your Petkit product fails due to a covered defect within this one-year period, we will repair or replace it at no cost.

Warranty Exceptions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or normal wear and tear.
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications to the product.
  • Any incidental or consequential damages (e.g., secondary costs or losses).

Beyond-Warranty Discount

For customers whose product issues arise within two months after the 1-year warranty has expired, we offer a 20% discount on a replacement product.

Making a Warranty Claim

To file a warranty claim, please contact Petkit New Zealand’s customer service at support@petkit.co.nz with:

  1. Proof of Purchase (e.g., order receipt, invoice).
  2. Description of the Issue in detail.

We will guide you through the next steps and advise if a repair or replacement is applicable.

Purchases from Other Retailers

If you purchased your Petkit product from a third-party retailer, please contact that retailer directly regarding warranty support or product replacements.

Important Notes

  • The remedy provided in this policy is the sole remedy under this warranty.
  • All liability for incidental damages is excluded.
  • It is essential to retain your original proof of purchase to establish the effective date of coverage.
  • If Petkit New Zealand (or an authorized dealer) replaces or repairs a product under warranty, the replacement or repaired item remains subject to the original warranty timeframe (i.e., no extension of coverage).
  • This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
