Price Match Policy

1. Overview

PETKIT New Zealand is committed to offering genuine PETKIT products, local support, and competitive value for customers in New Zealand.

If you find a lower advertised price for an identical eligible PETKIT product from an official or authorised PETKIT New Zealand sales channel, we may match the lower price, subject to the terms and conditions below.

This Price Match Policy applies to eligible purchases made through petkit.co.nz.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other applicable New Zealand consumer law.


2. Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a price match, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • The product must be identical in brand, model, colour, size, version, specifications, and included accessories.
  • The product must be new, genuine, and sold through an official or authorised PETKIT New Zealand sales channel.
  • The product must be currently in stock and available for purchase at the lower advertised price at the time of verification.
  • The lower price must be publicly advertised and verifiable by PETKIT New Zealand.
  • The request must be submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date.
  • The original purchase must have been made through petkit.co.nz.
  • The compared price must be listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
  • The product must be sold and shipped within New Zealand.

3. Non-Eligible Pricing

The following prices, promotions, and situations are excluded from price matching:

  • Prices offered by unauthorised resellers, grey-market importers, overseas sellers, or third-party marketplace sellers.
  • Listings on marketplaces such as Trade Me, eBay, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, or similar platforms where the seller is not an authorised PETKIT New Zealand sales channel.
  • Prices from overseas PETKIT websites, overseas retailers, or non-New Zealand sales channels.
  • Clearance sales, liquidation sales, closing down sales, open-box items, refurbished products, used products, damaged items, display units, or returned products.
  • Flash sales, limited-time promotions, doorbusters, holiday-exclusive pricing, bundle offers, multi-buy offers, buy-one-get-one promotions, or pricing errors.
  • Membership discounts, loyalty rewards, employee discounts, influencer discounts, affiliate promotions, student discounts, or other restricted-access offers.
  • Prices requiring coupon codes, promo codes, rebates, store credit, gift cards, financing offers, cashback, or mail-in rebates.
  • Pre-order pricing, crowdfunding campaign pricing, or launch-only pricing.
  • Differences caused by shipping fees, rural delivery fees, taxes, customs duties, exchange rates, payment fees, or other service-related charges.
  • Prices that cannot be independently verified by PETKIT New Zealand.

4. Verification Requirements

To request a price match, customers must provide:

  • Proof of purchase from petkit.co.nz, such as an order confirmation email or receipt.
  • A screenshot or direct link showing the lower advertised price.
  • The product name and model.
  • The seller or store name.
  • The advertised price.
  • The date the lower price was seen.
  • Evidence that the product is currently in stock and available for purchase at the lower price.

PETKIT New Zealand reserves the right to independently verify all pricing information and reject any request that cannot be verified.


5. Approved Price Adjustments

If a price match request is approved, PETKIT New Zealand will refund the price difference to the original payment method used for the purchase where possible.

Approved price matches:

  • Apply only to the item purchase price.
  • Do not apply to shipping charges, rural delivery fees, taxes, payment fees, or other service-related charges.
  • Cannot be combined with other promotions, discount codes, special offers, store credit, gift cards, or bundle pricing.
  • Apply only to the eligible item purchased through petkit.co.nz.

Please allow a reasonable processing time for approved refunds to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.


6. Right to Refuse or Limit Requests

PETKIT New Zealand reserves the right to:

  • Deny requests suspected of fraud, abuse, resale activity, bad faith, or misuse of this policy.
  • Limit the number or quantity of price match requests per customer, household, order, or product.
  • Reject requests where the lower price is not publicly available, cannot be verified, or does not meet the eligibility requirements.
  • Correct pricing errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time.
  • Modify, suspend, or end this Price Match Policy where reasonably necessary.

7. Pricing Errors

If a listed price is clearly incorrect due to a technical error, system issue, data entry mistake, or other pricing error, PETKIT New Zealand may decline a price match request based on that incorrect price.

Where a pricing error affects an order placed through petkit.co.nz, we may contact the customer to confirm the correct price, cancel the affected item, or issue a refund where appropriate.


8. Policy Updates

PETKIT New Zealand may update, modify, suspend, or terminate this Price Match Policy from time to time.

The version of the policy in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to your price match request.
